The HSA (Health Sciences Authority) is responsible to regulating health products ensuring that they meet all the necessary standards of safety, quality and efficacy.
They have set a fee applicable for registration, licensing, permit issuance, and notification for medical devices, therapeutic products, cosmetic products, cell tissue & gene therapy, oral dental gums, and Chinese proprietary medicines.
In the latest update, it has been issued that there is going to be a 5% hike in fee effective from 1 July 2024. You can expect the minimum increase of $1 and capped at $200 per fee item. The increase in this cost is to recover part of the costs for the services rendered to businesses.
